I had a good first Mother's Day but a boring weekend overall, which is not by definition a bad thing. I've turned slacking into an art form. When my husband was working Job #2 on Saturday night, I watched "Wrong Turn" on FX. I'd seen it before, in my pre-Buffy days (*shudders*), and didn't know at the time who Eliza Dushku was. This time it was a pleasant surprise, especially since the character she played was somewhat Faith-like. I'd've been disillusioned if they'd turned her into a stereotypical horror-chick screamer. As it was, I kept waiting for her to kick some homicidal-inbred-freak ass. "Come on, Faith, you can take them!"
Seriously? When a fairly lame horror flick on cable is one of the highlights of your weekend, it might be time to re-evaluate some things in life. Oh, but I also started watching Veronica Mars, almost solely because of the glowing recommendation of
devilpiglet, and I'm pleased to report that so far it's highly watchable.
